PRODUCT COMPOSITION

For around US$190-$200 there are plenty of online retailers offering this monitor up for sale. Thankfully, availability is not a problem when purchasing this model like I have witnessed with some manufacturer's product. Sure they're great, but you can never buy them seeing in the real world they don't exist. The price is not that bad at all as well for a 21.5" monitor supporting a 1920x1080 based resolution.

First out is the user's manual, cleaning cloth and warranty paperwork. Make sure you register this product to take advantage of your warranty. But as I have witnessed with all Samsung monitors, you won't be using the warranty much. Dependable is a word a closely relate to Samsung's flat panels since I started testing them over 8 years ago.

The hardware accessory pack is just as complete with all cables being included. Regardless of your connection capability, they have you covered. Also included is a orange cable organizer to keep you cables tidy coming out the monitor's connection panel.

The monitor stand comes unattached to keep the overall packaging profile smaller and easier to handle. All that is needed it to screw the vertical stand portion into the base, then slip it into the back of the monitor. Takes maybe a minute to fully assemble. The ball and socket assembly makes for a fool-proof installation,

And at last you get to see you monitor assembled. The monitor itself is simple and understated with a black piano gloss finish complimented by some clear trim. Overall build quality noted during assembly was solid with minimal body shell flex. Initial impressions were that this monitor is focused more on features rather than flash and aesthetics and the matte finish screen will minimize reflection for screen clarity. More on what makes this screen tick on the next page.
