PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS & FEATURES (From Samsung)

Experience ultra-realistic 3D with the SAMSUNG 2233RZ 22” 2D and 3D ready LCD widescreen display. With a pair of NVIDA GeForce 3D Vision glasses, a compatible NVDIA graphics card and Windows Vista, you can transform hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. The SAMSUNG 2233RZ renders more realistic experience than conventional displays by using a 120 Hz signal, rather than the 60 Hz images that conventional 2D displays use, a lightning-fast 3 ms response time GTG in 3D mode that eliminates trailing, and 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio that provide realistic detail. The SAMSUNG 2233RZ 22” 2D and 3D-ready LCD widescreen display.

PRODUCT COMPOSITION

So what do you get for US$300-US$350? Remember, this is not your everyday monitor so the price will reflect the difference.

First out is the user's manual, cleaning cloth and warranty paperwork and the software CD. Make sure you register this product to take advantage of your warranty.
The hardware kit included the parts to make up the base, a cable organizer, a dual link DVI cable and a power cord. One thing to keep in mind is that you CANNOT use your existing DVI cable. If you do, it will work for 60hz, but will not allow the 120hz to function.
To the left you have your standard 60hz monitor cable. To the right is the 120hz cable you will need with this monitor. How did I learn this? I found out the hard way and didn't use the included cable initially and the 120hz mode would not function at all. You have to use the provided cable.
And at last you have your prized gaming monitor unpackaged. The first thing you will note is that their nothing really special about the monitor's aesthetics. The finish is simple and inherits the glossy piano black used throughout the Samsung monitor line. Clearly this monitor is more about the function than the form. Now do I consider that something to pick apart? Not really. It seems to be built rather well, but I will note that it is not as robust as other models I have reviewed in the past. But none of these small qualms will hurt the performance once you have installed and are using the monitor.
Let's move on to the next page and take a better look around this monitor.
