After setting up your monitor, you will notice a couple of things.
1.) You will need to get a bigger desk. This unit will NOT fit on a normal student desk.
2.) You will learn to turn your neck to see the whole computer screen.
3.) You will need to go to a gaming addictions group, because once you have gamed on a 24in TFT, you will not leave your seat.
Gaming on this monitor at first is a little disorientating. For example, if you fall off a high cliff in a game and look down while falling, you WILL get a sensation of falling. It's just that immersive! I know that most TFT's are not meant for gaming, but after getting used to this monitor (takes about an hour), you will not notice the very, very slight ghosting. Setting your V-Sync to "ON" in your 3D computer games will enable 60fps of smooth gaming goodness as you can see in the earlier photos from 3dmark2001se.
CONCLUSIONS & AFTERTHOUGHTS
After using this monitor for about 2 days now, I have enjoyed this monitor to the hilt. The amount of work that I can get done on a monitor this size is amazing. You can have 3 or 4 windows working at the same time side by side and become a multitasking maniac. But all in all, the main advantage of this computer is the gaming and the pure shocking expression when you bring your friends over to see it. They can't believe how huge it is and they always leave a little envious. I do have to admit, I will miss this monitor once it is shipped back to Samsung.
If you are rich and need the biggest out there, this monitor is for you.
- Has more functions than a student temp worker.
- Image Clarity
- Vibrant Colours
- Did I mention it's HUGE!
- Great included Speakers
- Total immersive gaming
- And it's HUGE!!!
- Extremely Expensive ($4500US)
- DVI connector needed for even better clarity.
- Need to buy another desk. (Worth it though)
