PRODUCT FEATURES PICTORIAL
Ok, this is going to be a long section seeing that this unit has pretty well everything included...
With this large purchase ($4500US), you will be entitled to the privilege of using the largest TFT LCD in the world. This is one HUGE monitor. I mean "Turn you head to see the whole screen" huge. People will think: "yea, but the screen will not be a sharp at that size". Well, look below for proof against it.
Amazing clarity and bright colours are standard features with this monitor.
Turning the unit around, you will be exposed to...
A connector for your included speakers and a jack for hooking up your headphones.
And an audio/video input panel for your VCR, stereo, or a basic DVD. But wait, there is a lot more hiding.
Popping a cover off the back will expose the real meat and potatoes of the monitor, the main input connector block.
To the far left of the block, you will notice the main power connector, the PC stereo audio input, and the analog PC video connector. Now a small down side of this is that there is not a DVI connection for this monitor. This would improve the clarity greatly, but, would add to the cost and compatibility of the monitor. Remember, not everyone has a DVI connector on their videocards and most OEM business computers usually ship with only a analog videocard.
Moving to the right, you have your connectors for your HDTV component cables (yes, it's HDTV READY!), and the component video and audio connectors for your DVD. For the best picture from your DVD, always use the component video if your TV/Monitor is capable.
And to the far right, you have your cable TV connector to watch your favorite shows while doing you computer work. And for a bonus, you can also watch it PIP, aka Picture-in-Picture.
Just an example of TV clarity, you can see the vibrant colours and brightness of the monitor during TV viewing.
The speakers included were simply amazing. I did not have any high hope for these speakers, but they really surprised me. The sound was clear, crisp and had enough bass for the home user. If you are in to surround sound gaming of pounding bass, maybe a separate third party sound system would be better. But for the home or office, these tower speakers will work great.
