PRODUCT COMPOSITION

Just what do I get for $800USD?...

For one, you get a package that isn't broken thanks to Samsung's great packaging jobs.

The usual package containing a power cord and separate transformer, software drivers, bonus software, batteries for the remote etc..

Remote!?!? Yep, it comes with an remote that controls every feature in this monitor from screen property adjustments to everyday TV channel surfing. But more will be explained in the features.

Also a cable that enables you to connect your Digital TV box to this monitor.

And the patch cable to connect your computer's sound card and take advantage of the onboard speakers.

Here is the TV-Tuner module that you install in the back of the monitor before firing up the unit. Attach the cable to the module, insert it in place and use a coin to tighten the two screws to hold it in place securely.

And, just to humour us, Samsung throws in the monitor. What nice people they are. Heh!

PRODUCT FEATURES

So, you want to know what this feature packed TFT brings to your workstation, well, here we go *deep inhale*...

To start, great looks! The design is slightly different then the standard TFT to incorporate the speakers and various connections in the rear of the unit. The speaker sound quality is very good, and is a far cry better than the speakers attached to the 151b I reviewed HERE. Also, if you want your whole workstation clear, you can wall-mount this unit by removing the stand and purchasing the appropriate bracket from Samsung.

The connections at the back allow you to connect your Digital TV box, a VCR/DVD/Camcorder and/or cable TV.

One option to control the multiple features is to access them from the actual from panel of the monitor. Just as a note, these are not actual pushbuttons, but actual sensors that activate with the slightest of touch. Kinda neat!

If you don't like constantly getting up and changing things on the actual monitor, grab the infrared remote and do it from across the room. The remote enables you to do everything the front panel allows.
