As one of the latest stages of home video recording evolution, DVD camcorder recording represents a step from analog tape recording to the finer quality digital alternative. If you have been an avid camcorder enthusiast or have bought some upgrades over the past decade, you will notice a very positive trend. Camcorders are getting smaller, but their respective feature lists have been growing. This is something I love to see regardless of what product I am reviewing.
DVD recording itself is also under pressure from the newer internal hard drive based camcorders being released within the last year. The only thing that will keep them on the market for quite some time is the ease of use and their more affordable pricing. The one thing that DVD camcorder users enjoy the most is that they can record a video and instantly play it on their DVD players without having to worry about a computer or converting the content to DVD. Just record, then remove the disc from the player, then insert it into your DVD player and play.
It can't get any simpler and take it from a user with a MiniDV camcorder.....buy a DVD camcorder and enjoy the simplicity of not having to burn your content onto a DVD for distribution. You will know what I mean when you record a family wedding and everyone wants copies...........yeesh.
