PRODUCT FEATURE WALKTHROUGH
The 213T is Samsung's latest and greatest offering for the graphic artist, web administrator or just the average mainstream everyday user (with money).
At a glance, the 213T is very similar in appearance to the Samsung SyncMaster 191T reviewed a year and a half ago. It has the same thin bezel which gives the screen the appearance of being actually bigger than 21 inches when compared to a normal bezel.
The side portions of the bezel measures in at a thin 3/4 of an inch while the top and bottom are slightly thicker at one full inch to make room for the front menu keys and for structural rigidity. If you turn the monitor to the side, it measures at 1 3/8 of an inch which is remarkable thin for such a large monitor. The sides do get slightly thicker as you progress to the center, but it has to to contain the screen electronics and backlight.
The front menu buttons are much like any other monitor on the market whether CRT or LCD. With only a couple keystrokes, you can have you monitor setup properly for your viewing environment. Seeing that during this review I was using the digital connection, everything seemed to be setup perfectly right off the start and I never had to touch the menu buttons once. If any adjustments are needed other than brightness, you have to do them through your videocard properties (Digital Only).
