CONCLUSIONS & AFTERTHOUGHTS
When initially thinking about reviewing a sub-US$350 20 inch LCD monitor I was skeptical that it would perform properly with such a cheap price tag. But through testing I have unearthed a bargain that not only games exceptionally well, it also has the capabilities of monitors that are a lot more expensive.
This monitor is perfect for the home user or the performance gaming enthusiast looking for a cost effective LCD monitor option that does not skimp on the specification list. Sure it isn't the most attractive LCD monitor made by Samsung or by any other manufacturer, by what it lacks in form it makes up in function. For under US$350 you really couldn't ask for much more from such a large LCD monitor. And because of this I will stand by recommending this monitor to anyone without a huge budget that wants a good 20 inch monitor to grace their desk during work or play.
Either way, this monitor will have you covered. The extra money left in your wallet could easily buy you that videocard you always wanted.
Pros:
- Value for the Money
- Build Quality
- Excellent Gaming
- 800:1 Contrast Ratio
- 1600x1200 Resolution Capability
- Full 360 Degree Rotational Base
- Rotating Screen for Portrait Viewing
- Availability
Cons:
- Not the best looking monitor from Samsung
- Slightly more bulky than other models.
- No DVI video cable included.
