*Editor's Addition: The Remote Wonder 2 can be received through
the included complimentary upgrade coupon packaged in the All in Wonder
9600 pro. In late March 2004, the Remote Wonder 2 will be actually physically
included with the upcoming All in Wonder 9600XT Videocard. Currently,
it cannot be purchased separately, but should be within the near future.
I will keep you updated.*
The RWII arrives packed in a small box. The front label
describes the contents, as well as the system requirements.
I'd have liked to see a little more care with the packaging…
perhaps some foam. However, neither the remote nor the base was damaged
during shipping, so I shouldn't complain. Also included are the batteries
and an instruction manual.
And there she is. The grove in the middle allows it to
sit comfortably in your hand. The edges are rounded (although not quite
as rounded as its predecessor, the RWI).
In addition to the remote, the installation CD and the
instructions, you get the base. It connects to your PC via USB 2.0.
The base is quite a bit bigger than the RWI base. However, the RWII
base does allow a much broader range (up to 60 feet as opposed to the
RWI's 25 feet).
