LOGITECH CORPORATE PROFILE
Logitech designs, manufactures and markets personal interface
products that enable people to effectively work, play, and communicate
in the digital world. The company's products combine essential core
technologies, continuing innovation, award-winning industrial design
and excellent price performance.
During the past few years, Logitech has significantly
broadened its product offering and increased its presence in the retail
sector, as consumers enhance their basic systems with more fully featured
interface devices that add functionality and cordless freedom to their
desktops, as well as supplementary devices designed for new applications
and specific purposes such as gaming, multimedia or visual communication
on the Internet.
Today, Logitech's retail business accounts for more than
80 percent of its revenue. To provide the market with a broadening array
of best-of-category products, Logitech's business model calls for supplementing
its internal engineering and manufacturing strength with additional
products and technologies through a combination of strategic acquisitions
and industry partnerships.
PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Although the standard keyboard and mouse will suffice
when playing first person shooter games such as Doom 3, BF1942 and Unreal
Tournament, some other games need a more advanced controller for proper
efficient gaming. Take driving or flight simulators or sports games
for example. Trying to be good at either variety on a keyboard and mouse
is practically impossible and in some cases can be down right frustrating.
If driving, flying or virtual sport frustration among
other things is ruining you gaming pleasure, maybe you should try out
a game pad. In the case with the RumblePad 2 shown above, you have full
digital and dual analog control, ten programmable keys and lets not
forget the built in vibration feedback to add even more realism to your
immersive gaming experience.
Let's see what I thought about this controller.....
