SAMSUNG PN64F8500 64 INCH PLASMA SMART TV REVIEW (07-04-2014)
With close to six months of use in my den, I can easily say that Samsung's PN64F8500 Plasma Smart TV is an excellent TV with pretty well every feature any buyer would appreciate. If you are looking into buying a large TV that will not have to be upgraded for years to come and with every bell and whistle known in the industry, then your search stops here.

SAMSUNG PN64E8000 64 INCH PLASMA SMART TV REVIEW (28-11-2012)
Samsung's PN64E8000 Plasma Smart TV can be summed up as an easy purchase for the consumer that has the upgraded budget and is smart enough to see that with this one purchase you don't only get an upgradable fantastic livingroom display, but also a trimmed down home theater pc. Add on the additional features like voice and motion control, webcam, future processor upgrades, SMART TV functionality, WIFI, Samsung APPS, Games (Angry Birds) and the difference in price seems to dwindle to an investment that over time will be boiled down to a difference of mere pennies a day.

SAMSUNG BD-D6500 3D BLU-RAY PLAYER REVIEW (18-05-2012)
The trend is continuing. Blu-ray player competition is getting fierce and we all will be reaping the rewards of cheaper players that will continue to do more with every generation. Samsung's BD-D6500 is a good example of a player that only last year has the features of a model that would have easily been US$100 more.

ASUS O!PLAY MINI HD MEDIA PLAYER REVIEW (12-01-2012)
Asus's O!Play Mini media player packs a lot of punch into a tiny black box that can fit just about anywhere. The tradeoff for its small size is no internal HDD support, but the front panel has a card slot and USB 2.0 port for accessing media files. Playback of 1080P videos is flawless in terms of both picture and sound, and it reads all the popular video, audio, and photo formats right out of the box.

SAMSUNG PN59D8000 59 INCH 3D PLASMA TV REVIEW (29-11-2011)
Samsung's PN59D8000 Plasma Smart TV is targeted towards the consumer who who wants to use their livingroom display for than watching TV and movies. With this one purchase, you essentially get a TV and a functional Home Theater PC in one attractive package.

SAMSUNG UN55D7000 55 INCH SMART LED 3D TV REVIEW (24-08-2011)
Samsung's UN55D7000 Smart LED 3D TV is a display that pushes the boundaries of what a consumer can expect when purchasing a HDTV in today's market. Not only can they view their favorite Blu ray movies and HD satellite/cable content, they can now use their TV to browse online. With the integrated WIFI, internet browser and Youtube/Facebook/Netflix widgets, your TV could become a very basic Home Theater PC.

ASUS O!PLAY HD2 MEDIA PLAYER REVIEW (28-07-2011)
Asus has packed a lot of functionality into the O!Play HD2 media player. It supports all the popular HD video formats as well as a myriad of audio and photo formats, and the user interface is intuitive enough that anyone in the house can use it. A built-in 3.5 HDD bay allows the buyer to add internal storage, and the USB 3.0 port ensures you won't be waiting all day for file transfers to complete.

PATRIOT BOX OFFICE CORE OPEN SOURCE MEDIA PLAYER REVIEW (21-06-2011)
The Patriot Box Office Core has proven to be an extremely versatile media player. It played all the video, audio and photo formats I tossed its way, and the various connectivity options make playing media from multiple sources quick and easy. Its compact size and near silent operation round out a solid alternative to a HTPC, especially when you consider the $80 price tag.

EPSON EX7200 LCD PROJECTOR REVIEW (09-05-2011)
Epson has created a well-rounded projector with the EX7200. It has versatile connection options that make it ideal for both corporate and home environments. The ability to use the remote control as a wireless mouse comes in handy, while support for USB drives to view JPG images allows quick viewing of photos.

SAMSUNG PN58C8000 58 INCH PLASMA TV REVIEW (16-03-2011)
The Samsung PN58C8000 is targeted towards the buyer that wants the best Samsung Plasma TV that money can buy and have every possible feature other than integrated Wifi. No corners have been cut for this model and everything from the upgraded remote control to the brushed exterior bezel and finish look as good as the TV performs.

SAMSUNG BD-C6900 3D BLU-RAY PLAYER REVIEW (02-02-2011)
After an evening of 3D Blu-Ray viewing compliments of Samsung's BD-C6900, I can see how integrating 3D Blu-Ray into any consumer's home theater system could be considered a good thing. But the real thing to point out with the BD-C6900, is 3D is not where this product ends. With a fully integrated WIFI connection and the additional movie, video and multimedia functionality, this Blu-Ray player is definitely approaching the gray area just before you enter the realm of the Home Theater PC.

SAMSUNG FX2490HD 24 INCH LED TV / MONITOR REVIEW (26-11-2010)
The Samsung SyncMaster FX2490HD is a stylish LED monitor / TV that tries to perform the role of two products in one, but doesn't seem to excel at either function. While used as a monitor, it does perform its task very well. But with the lack of a suitable DVI connection and no cable adapter, the user is limited to use the older analog VGA which to some will seem rather outdated for a 2010 product.

SAMSUNG PN58C6400 58 INCH PLASMA TV REVIEW (09-11-2010)
With every new model year, I grit my teeth and wince while viewing my favorite programming hoping and praying that a company hasn't screwed up a great product by trying to reinvent the wheel with every product cycle. With that in mind, I was glad that the PN58C6400 was more or less the same TV as last year's model with some minor design tweaks and very little difference in terms of visual quality. But where this Plasma TV excels is when you focus on its size and what it accomplishes while only consuming half the power of the previous model.

SAMSUNG UN55C6500 55 INCH LED TV REVIEW (28-07-2010)
With this being the second LED TV I have tested from Samsung, nothing much has changed with regards to pros and cons of thin panel LED technology. The picture quality and colors are second to none and the 1.1inch overall thickness is nothing less than astonishing.

SAMSUNG PN58B650 58 INCH PLASMA TV REVIEW (08-03-2010)
The Samsung PN58B650 is one of those products that can be a little confusing to sum up in a couple paragraphs. For one, this TV is quite a bit cheaper than the higher end 850 series model, but other than the dimensions, it has a better overall visual viewing experience.

SAMSUNG PN58B850 58 INCH PLASMA TV REVIEW (08-02-2010)
No longer will you have to worry about ghosting artifacts and you can watch any action movie or sports game and feel like you are really there. Although LCD models may try to mimic the fluid playback a plasma TV brings to the table, they can't hold a candle to plasma technology even today.

SAMSUNG UN55B8000 55 INCH LED TV REVIEW (28-10-2009)
After over a month and a half of daily use, the Samsung UN55B8000 can be summed up as a mixed bag of great and not so great characteristics. The first thing to mention and the distinguishing feature is the 1.2 inch depth profile. There is no consumer grade TV this side of perhaps an OLED display that at the time of this review is as thin as this model. The second is the color reproduction. This by a small margin has the best color reproduction I have seen to date. Couple these with the overall aesthetics and improved USB video, mp3 and photo functionality and at first you would think this is a touch down for Samsung. But hold on.

SAMSUNG LN55A950 120HZ 55INCH 1080P LCD TV (30-06-2009)
The model being reviewed today is fully 120hz compliant, has full LED backlighting, it has Samsung's top of the line 55 inch LCD panel for their best color reproduction they have available. This should be an interesting review to see if the newer 120hz technology does work, or as with any first implementations, this could be deemed as an expensive trial run to iron out the bugs before the true home run hit is released the second year.

SAMSUNG SC-HMX20C 1080P FLASH MEMORY HD CAMCORDER (02-06-2009)
The SC-HMX20C represents an HD camcorder that most will find easy use, feature packed and has all issues solved from the previous year's model. Through extensive testing, there wasn't much it couldn't handle and performance and image/video quality were excellent for such a small unit.

SAMSUNG PN50A650 50 INCH 1080P PLASMA TV (28-11-2008)
To sum this TV up, the picture quality for a mid-range TV is amazing, the connection choices can be compared to a HD buffet and the icing on the 1080p cake is that this is a great looking TV that looks a lot more expensive than its price tag.

SAMSUNG BD-P1500 BLU-RAY PLAYER (27-11-2008)
When the dust is settled and the Blu-ray movies are put away, the BD-P1500 is a very capable BD player that has the "out of the box" functionality to be easily inserted or included into any recent home theater system. The picture quality was excellent and the audio playback was exceptionally clear.

SAMSUNG LN-T4681F 46 INCH 1080P LED BACKLIT LCD TV (23-09-2008)
At first I thought there is no way that LED technology can make up for the cost difference when compared to a standard panel lit LCD TV. Boy did the LN-T4681F take those thoughts, write them down on a sheet and paper and shred them to confetti right before my eyes.

SAMSUNG SC-MX10 SOLID STATE MEMORY CAMCORDER (31-07-2008)
The SC-MX10 is an excellent standard definition camcorder for the consumer wanting an easy to use product to introduce them into the solid state recording market. It is packed full of features, has a extremely powerful 34X zoom, is lightweight and when coupled with a 8Gb SDHC card, you should have plenty of recording capacity.

SAMSUNG SC-HMX10A HIGH DEFINITION HD SOLID STATE MEMORY CAMCORDER (24-06-2008)
Samsung's first foray into solid state HD recording can be easily summed up to be a success. Everything works perfectly, controls are easy to use and video/photo quality are excellent for an all-in-one product. With the rise in HDTV sales, HD camcorders are going to get more and more popular. Consider an HD camcorder as future-proofing your purchase so it will be compatible with the new TV standard for several years.

SAMSUNG HL-S6187W 61INCH 1080P DLP PROJECTION HDTV (27-11-2007)
With LCD and plasma TVs being all the rage in today's market, it is a shame that DLP projection TVs aren't getting the recognition they deserve. For the money, they offer more value, larger sizes and better black levels than their thin cousins. Until this review, I too thought that DLP would be a flickering annoying mess. But this TV, for its huge size, still pumped out a crisp picture that I thought would be only seen on smaller versions.

APPLE IPOD SHUFFLE SECOND GENERATION 1GB MP3 PLAYER (04-10-2007)
In the end, there isn't a whole lot I can is wrong with the iPod Shuffle. It does everything it is intended to do. When in use, you don't even notice that it is there. Hell, my aftermarket Sony headphones I use with this product weigh more than this player. The product is simple to use, has an excellent battery life and with a capacity of 200-240 songs, one song load and one charge should set you up with hours of listening enjoyment without any unneeded bulk.

SAMSUNG BD-P1200 BLU-RAY PLAYER (27-09-2007)
Samsung's BD-P1200 is a step forward and a slight step back. Sure it now carries the new HDMI v1.3 standard, but it fails to take full advantage of what the new specification has to offer. In addition, although a lot of the bugs were worked out, some of the functionality was removed as well. The BD-P1000 had a handy memory card reader which would be great for people wanted to view their photos and video files seamlessly on their HDTV. The BD-P1200 has that functionality stripped away.

SAMSUNG BD-P1000 BLU-RAY DISC PLAYER (26-07-2007)
So you finally saved up some money to buy your dream home theater system. You have your new 1080p large screen television as wide as a livingroom wall, you have your surround sound system that could rival the noise created by god himself, but you are still missing that final piece to the perfect high definition movie viewing puzzle. As you should know, a standard DVD player would just disgrace your new investment seeing the recent evolution of players has kicked it up a notch to the new HD standard.

SAMSUNG LN-T4061F 40 INCH 1080P HIGH DEFINITION LCD TV (05-07-2007)
To boil down a recommendation for a TV such as the LN-T4061F reviewed today, you have to ask whether you REALLY need to spend the money for 1080p. Will you be buying a HDDVD or Blu-ray disc player to compliment this TV? Will you be upgrading to HD cable or satellite service? Will you or your kids be enjoying XBox 360 or PS3 1080p HD gaming on this TV? If you answered yes to one or more of the questions above, yes, feel free to purchase this TV. If not, there are a lot more affordable lower resolution models available.

ANYDRIVE 3 MULTIFUNCTION MP3 PLAYER FM WIRELESS TRANSMITTER (30-11-2006)
Overall, the AnyDrive is a mixed bag. By itself, it's a decent enough player, but very limited. Lack of file support, quirky backlighting, and all but useless instructions knock the Anydrive down a few notches.

SAMSUNG SC-DC164 DVD CAMCORDER (21-09-2006)
Now to cut through the crap and get down to the nitty-gritty, would I recommend this DVD camcorder to the everyday consumer? The answer is yes if you are not planning on recording in low light conditions or require decent battery life. Every other feature works flawlessly and as described and presented. It is easy to use and practically fool-proof if you spend a couple hours with a RW single layer disc and tinker around a bit.

SAMSUNG YP-T8Z 1 GIG PORTABLE MEDIA PLAYER (10-05-2006)
The Samsung YP-T8Z is a very capable media player with features that can be used by all computers users in the market for a capable and portable multimedia product. Throughout my 3 months testing this player, I have yet to realistically find one major fault other than the irritating onboard games.

SAMSUNG HP-R4252 42 INCH PLASMA TV (07-12-2005)
Plasma TVs are a thing of beauty and if you are in the market for a new TV soon and considering a large plasma for your next purchase, you owe yourself the time to stick around and allow me to give you a quick walk-through of the HP-R4252 and what it has to offer.

SAMSUNG SC-M105 MINIKET 6 IN 1 MULTIFUNCTION DIGITAL CAMCORDER (23-11-2005)
Samsung had to pull out all the engineers in their design department to pack such an array of functionality into a device that won't even cover a deck of poker cards. I have to hand it to them for jamming everything this device, and still keeping it easy to use and completely functional.

SAMSUNG YP-MT6 1GB PORTABLE DIGITAL MP3 AUDIO PLAYER (02-11-2005)
The player in my mind is essentially flawless. Everything works, everything is built well (including the excellent headphones), and the buyer will be happy to find out that this player can be setup and loaded in under 5 minutes thanks to the USB2.0 capability. I just have to say again, this player is TINY. It borderline boggles the mind that you can fit all the features into such a small package and not have any flaws rear their ugly heads.

CREATIVE ZEN VISION 30GB PORTABLE MEDIA PLAYER (11-10-2005)
Creative have decided to ditch Microsoft's Portable Media Center initiative along with their operating system for Creative's own in-house operating system, more codec support and a plethora of other features that I'm going to tell you all about in this review. I suggest you pause here, go put the kettle on and then kick back with a nice brew and enjoy as I take you for a wild ride of this year's most anticipated Creative Labs Audio/Video player release.

SAMSUNG YH-820 5GB DIGITAL MP3 PLAYER (29-08-2005)
This product is much more than your average "turn it on and listen to music" MP3 player. In addition, for the same money you get an easy to use portable hard drive, voice recorder, MP3 encoder and a color photo viewer in one neat and tidy package.

SAMSUNG DVD-HD841 HIGH DEFINITION DVD PLAYER (21-06-2005)
Overall, my experience with this product has been excellent. This aesthetically pleasing product was problem free, easy to install using a standard video connection and is packed full of features that will have your DVD player future-proofed if you decide to upgrade your TV to a high definition display sometime in the upcoming years.

SAMSUNG YEPP YP-780V 256MB MP3 PLAYER (29-11-2004)
With digital clarity and the ability of carrying large amounts of your favorite songs in one small tidy package, the consumer can shed the inconvenience and extra weight associated with carrying numerous CD filled with songs that you don't actually want to listen to.

ANYDRIVE CAR MP3 FM TRANSMITTER (04-11-2004)
Today, I'll be reviewing the Anydrive Car MP3 FM Transmitter. This unit will allow you to attach a USB flash drive, MP3 player, MD player, CD player, cassette player, or anything with an audio out and transmit it to an FM frequency for your car radio.

SAMSUNG SCD103 MINIDV DIGITAL VIDEO CAMCORDER (07-10-2004)
Ok, I have to admit, this has been my first full camcorder experience other than a couple short video projects in college and university and thanks to the SCD103, it was a very smooth full introduction. You see, I walked in just like you would and I have had nothing but a positive experience with this affordable, feature packed and easy to use MiniDV camcorder.

GATEWAY AR-230 HOME THEATER DVD RECORDER (16-09-2004)
The Gateway AR-230 can be summed up as being an affordable and high quality DVD Recorder with all features and ease of use as your standard everyday VHS VCR. It is easy to install and configure, makes recording a DVD child's play and has every feature seen in its' competitor's products without the expensive pricetag.

MERCONNET 7 INCH MINI WIDESCREEN LCD TV (01-12-2003)
Merconnet's 7" LCD TV would be a great addition to a small portable DVD viewing station, but as for the Cable TV viewing, it is a little lacking. If stereo composite connectors were added and the TV tuner refined, this would be a great product.

NEXTBASE MDV1 SMALL FORM FACTOR DVD PLAYER (30-11-2003)
Not only was the player physically robust, but its feature list would go toe to toe with any normal DVD player on the market. As stated earlier, the visual and audio quality were flawless and you would never tell the difference when compared to the bigger alternative.

iROCK 730i 128MEG DIGITAL MP3 PLAYER (26-11-2003)
There are a lot of things that I love about this unit, and only a couple things that can be improved upon. First off, the LCD is fantastic, but serves as both a Pro and Con. It looks awesome, is crystal clear and makes for a good show piece, however it also sucks up battery life.

SAMSUNG TANTUS LTM405W 40 INCH LCD TV / COMPUTER MONITOR (07-11-2003)
This particular 40 inch LCD TV/Monitor is targeted towards a consumer that doesn't want to just use it the view the daily news, but with the push of a remote control button, be transformed into one of the largest LCD PC computer monitors in the world.

TOSHIBA e740 POCKET PC(23-06-2003)
Toshiba has definitely left their mark on the Pocket PC industry with the e740. It's 400MHz processor smokes most available Pocket PC's, and its add-on card adds an extra boost to the already large 64MB of SDRAM.

SAMSUNG HT-DB600TH HOME THEATER SYSTEM(13-06-2003) New!
Although contained within a small package, this compact home theater system performs. Bringing a 500 watts of audio power and 5 disc DVD/CD capability to a livingroom for around US$260 is nothing less than a bargain. When compared to what it replaces, an equivalent separate component system would cost two to three times more.

SAMSUNG DVD-V2500 DVD/VCR COMBO PLAYER (02-04-2003)
Summing up this product is practically a no-brainer. Great features, Great VHS/DVD playback, Great options and Samsung's attention to detail and perfection makes this one of the "must-have" products of 2003. It pretty well handles every type of media you can throw at it and only takes up one measly space in your entertainment centre. Look back a few years ago and you would have to have 3 or 4 separate units to equal its capabilities. I personally consider it one of the best additions to my living room and would recommend this unit to anyone in the market.

Samsung DVD-L100 Portable DVD Player (22-02-2003)
I know my first impression was that those portable DVD players must be really expensive and you must have to be rich to afford one. Maybe a couple years ago this may have been so, but not anymore. Reading this review will expose you to a truly unique product packed full of great features for the home, the office and mainly for the road.

SAMSUNG YEPP 64MEG MP3 PLAYER (12-11-2002)
Do you need a time during your busy day to choose what noise enters you ears from time to time, well, today, I may have a nice light, full-featured alternative for you. Samsung indeed has been producing high quality components from ram to hard drives, monitors, LCD TFT screens and countless products for the home. Let's see if this model of MP3 player follows the trend ...

iROCK 520 DIGITAL MP3 PLAYER & iROCK 300W FM WIRELESS TRANSMITTER (13-07-2002)
These two products have it all, quality, good construction, lots of features and one of the smallest MP3 players and FM transmitters on the market. I personally love these products and use them everyday whether I use the small MP3 player during a workout, or by using the transmitter in in car on the way home to listen to MP3's without constantly burning them onto a disc.

SAMSUNG TANTUS LTM1775W 17 INCH WIDESCREEN LCD TV (16-06-2002)
The going trend in today's computer market are computer monitors that can function as a TV. Such is the case with the Samsung Syncmaster 151MP which I reviewed recently. But what if I could put a twist on that and have a LCD TFT television act as a computer monitor with the push of a remote control button. Well, with this 17 inch widescreen beauty, your wishes have been granted.

KDS PC CONTROLLED CD ORGANIZER (27-02-2002)
What can I say other than KDS has released a great product onto the market. There is relatively no problems with the tower other than the small quirks I found with the unit. Overall good effort by KDS and their engineering team.
