PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS AND FEATURES

Basically, this kit contains a 140mmX25mm fan and duct assembly, a FanMate2 speed controller and some mounting hardware and accessories.

As stated, the rated 20dB @ 800 RPM will likely be inaudible in all but the quietest environments. At 1800 RPM and 32dB, the fan will be quite noticeable, though not what I’d consider loud. The fan and duct together weigh in at 494 grams (just a hair over a pound) and shouldn’t affect stability of the reserator enough to mention.

PRODUCT COMPOSITION

For $30-$35 US, Zalman provides the following.

The retail box is glossy cardboard and provides ample information about the contents.

Inside the box, you’ll find the assembled fan/duct unit, a user’s manual and a bag containing the FanMate2 (and its cabling), Velcro mounting tape, wire clips and a sticker.

PRODUCT PICTORIAL AND WALKTHROUGH

An attractive grill protects errant fingers from the fan blades, but must be removed to get at the cardboard packing that protects the fan during shipping.

At better than six inches across, this fan/duct is big. Just big enough to fit nicely over the reserator.

If you’ve used Zalman products, you’re probably familiar with the FanMate2 fan speed controller. It’s included with many Zalman cooling products. If you’re not, the included manual will guide you through a successful installation. Just to the right of the blue sticker is some Velcro tape to secure the FanMate in (or outside) the case. Three metal clips are included to keep the fantail wires organized.
