PRODUCT WALKTHROUGH & PICTORIAL
I do understand this is a simple product, but I still want to point out what I found to be some good points while testing this product during normal computer use, and also while serving its' true purpose as a gaming aid.
This mousepad can be judged as being large but not huge. In my opinion it is a perfect size. Extremely large mousepads serve relatively little purpose seeing most of the area will go unused and therefore a waste. Even this Ratpadz XT is rather large and you won't need to take full advantage of it, but the extra space will be used from time to time.
The XT's surrounding edge is smooth and leads to a comfortable experience even during extensive gameplay sessions. Although the edge might look slightly rough in this photo, those small ridges you see cannot be felt by the human finger.
Flipping the pad over will expose the pads textured underbelly complete with product labeling and nine mousepad feet. These feet allow a LOT of stability and grip. When on a flat surface with clean feet, this mousepad will not budge even under extreme pressure on the rounded edge. Well planted is an understatement. This mousepad was slightly warped due to shipping and would rock on the desktop. Flexing the mousepad on the edge of desk to bend the pad back properly had it sitting perfectly and even after two weeks of testing has not changed.
Another thing to note is the fact that there will be no labeling on the usable surface on the mousepad. It just adds unneeded cost to the product and will eventually wear off even when perfectly applied. Makes sense.
