QNAP TS-509 PRO TURBO INTRODUCTION
Previously I reviewed the TS-409 Pro NAS from QNAP, and couldn't say enough positive things about it. It packed a myriad of high performance features into a compact box and still provided an organized, easy to configure interface. QNAP has now introduced the TS-509 Pro which improves upon an already superb product. Included on this new model are an LCD display, load balancing, fail over, and multiple IP settings all of which were absent from its predecessor. The new TS-509 Pro also features 5 drive bays, an eSATA port, and an upgraded 1.6GHz Celeron processor and 1GB DDRII RAM. This could very well be the last NAS one will need for a very long time, so let's dig in and find out for sure.
