PRODUCT FEATURES AND SPECIFICATIONS

There are two versions of the TS-409, one designed for home use (simply called the TS-409) and the other designed for business use (TS-409 Pro). The review sample provided to me is the TS-409 Pro. The only difference between the two units is the home version does not support Unix/Linux clients or Microsoft's Active Directory authentication.

PRODUCT COMPOSITION

Expect to pay around $600 US for the TS-409 Pro. The box has a picture of the unit and lists out some of the many features. Inside, foam protects it from taking any damage during the shipping process.

A smaller accessory box has an external power adapter with cord, software CD, installation manual, bag of screws, keys, and an Ethernet cable.

PRODUCT PICTORIAL AND WALKTHROUGH

The TS-409 Pro lacks any sort of display on the front and the overall aesthetics don't exactly scream eye candy, but quality is always more important than looks. The top and sides are a basic gray color with a black front bezel. A Qnap logo is found at the bottom along with indicator lights and other buttons.
