PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Back in 2009, Tweaknews had the opportunity to review the QNAP TS-219P NAS. Since that time the NAS has become a very important part of my home network. It serves up files to three workstations as well as an Xbox 360, acts as a print server and media server, and does it all with rock solid stability and good performance. As great as the unit is for home or small office use, its single core processor and 512MB of RAM probably wouldn't be the best choice for a larger network with hundreds of users.

That's where the new QNAP TS-259 Pro+ NAS comes in. Designed specifically for the unique demands of a business network, this new offering from QNAP is Citrix ready and features faster read/write speeds, AES 256-bit volume-based encryption, iSCSI Target Service, and much more. Let's take a closer look and see how it performs.
