Both configurations are run at locked 1:1 memory and CPU FSB divider.


Benchmarking Explained


The benchmarking is going to be kept very simple and to the point. What I will be illustrating through the testing is the performance difference comparing a stock 2.4C, an overclocked 2.4C at 3.2Ghz, a stock 3.2EE, an overclocked 3.2EE at its max overclock of 3.7Ghz and the 3.4E at 3.4Ghz.


Though I did have a 3.0C in the test lab, it was an Intel engineering sample and didn't represent the actual retail product that the consumer would be able to purchase. What I did have was a retail 2.4C that I purchased myself and I wanted to see and illustrate the performance difference of a 2.4C overclocked to 3.2Ghz when compared through benchmarking to a stock 3.2EE and 3.4E.
