What do you get for US$170?
One specific thing PQI worked on was to improve the overall
packaging of the memory for safer distribution and shipping. Not only
does this save the consumer a headache when they receive a damage memory
set, but it also saves the distributor and manufacturer money as well.
To be as honest as possible, this has to be the most robust
packaging I have ever had to deal with when trying to review a memory
kit. Now I am saying the word "try" seeing I practically broke
into a laugh just trying to get the memory out of the package. With
a borderline machete in hand, it still took a large amounts of hacking
and laughing just to get to the dimms.
Worrying about getting tampered memory, hell no!
This particular kit consists of two 512Meg dimms with
equal clock (DDR400) and timing (2-5-2-2) settings.
