ANTEC CORPORATE PROFILE

The year was 1986. Starbucks had only a few stores. Don Johnson was actually cool. The average PC had less memory than today's cellphones. And in Fremont , California , a little company named Antec was born. Antec's first employees never imagined that their upstart firm would rise to the very top of the high-performance computer components industry. But rise it did. And rather swiftly, too.
We're headquartered in Fremont , California , with additional offices in the Netherlands , Europe . We've also established distribution partnerships throughout Australia and Southeast Asia . So you'll find Antec products in over 25 countries. But no matter how large we grow, we'll never forget our mission: to give you the power you need to create the computer you really want. That's the Antec way. That's the Power of You.
PROUCT INTRODUCTION

Man, there are a lot of cases on the market these days! There are big ones, small ones, plain, fancy, cheap and expensive ones. How is a person to choose? Being an old guy, I can remember having to cut holes in cases for fans and windows before the days of pre-modded cases. It wasn't long before manufacturers picked up on this activity and began to market products to this growing group of enthusiasts, and now virtually all manufacturers make pre-modded cases. As processors and graphics cards become faster, they generate more heat. Fans are an excellent and inexpensive way to get the heat out of the case. So, you throw a bunch of big fans in the case and crank ‘em up. Heat problem solved, right? Yes, but now you can't hear anything over the fan noise. Now we have another trend developing. Cool and quiet seems to be the name of the game these days.
With the recent introduction of the P-180 chassis, the latest in their Performance One series, Antec has made an attempt to address both the cooling problem and the noise issue. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a PC enthusiast who hasn't heard of, much less owned any Antec products. Antec has a reputation for marketing high quality products that perform as advertised. The P-180 chassis has a distinctive look and a plethora of innovative features. Let's take a closer look at this product and see if it lives up to Antec's venerable reputation.
