Entering the memory market in August 2000, OCZ Technology was built around
the determination to manufacture the best high speed DDR and RDRAM. OCZ

PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

In today's enthusiast community, premium memory is not only
supposed to perform at it's rated specification, but beyond. For example,
most companies marketing their PC3200 (DDR400) memory are touting that
it will perform and overclock to the PC3500 (DDR433) or PC3700 (DDR466)
specification. Why is that? For one, it's due to the the higher quality
components and another is remarking higher speed ram DIMMs to a lower
speed. If you remark some PC3500 memory to PC3200, people will be amazed
how well it will overclock even though it was actually MEANT to run at
that speed. Trust me, it's a marketing ploy that is run by all memory
manufacturers. You can ask a higher price for "premium" PC3200
than you can for normal PC3500 DDR.
Today I will be reviewing a 512meg Dual Channel DDR kit
from OCZ. Not only is it touted to be good memory, but is able to handle
a good overclock as well. To test the memory, I will be benchmarking it
against the grand daddy of premium memory, the Corsair
TWINX PC3200 Dual channel Memory Kit. Not only has Corsair's memory
been tested to be an amazing overclocker when coupled with a 2.4C Intel
P4, but also with great stability.
Let's see how the OCZ equivalent will hold it's ground....
