CONCLUSIONS & AFTERTHOUGHTS

OCZ's GameXStream 850W power supply packs a lot of power and stability into a compact package that will make a lot of gamers and other power users very happy. Their three-year PowerSwap warranty program makes the package even more attractive. The handsome satin finish, sleeving and blue LED fan give the OCZ850GXS a very definite eye appeal and the performance is outstanding. The relatively modest price (for a PSU of this caliber, anyway) is enhanced by rebates lately, making the GameXStream a very good buy just now. The only issue I had with the OCZ850GXS was the somewhat high +12V rails. Other than that, I found this PSU to be an excellent performer and a good value.

Pros:

- 850 watts
- Four +12V rails (20A each)
- Impressive stability
- Quiet
- Attractive finish
- Fully sleeved
- Active PFC
- Native support for SLI
- Lots of connectors and ample cable length
- Blue LED fan
- Good Value

Cons:

- +12V rails nearly exceed ATX spec.
- +12V rails Amp spec. different on label and website
