Like its older brother, the Zero 2 is a full-tower chassis with a plastic front bezel and door. Unlike the aluminum Zero, the Zero 2 is a steel chassis. Also, the number of fans included with the Zero 2 is down from eight to three but the price is considerably less. Otherwise, with respect to bays, I/O and general layout, the two cases are virtually identical.
PRODUCT COMPOSITION
The colorful and sturdy carton suffered some mishandling and distress at the hands of the evil shipping company, but due to…
…well executed packing design, the Zero 2 arrived in pristine condition. The chassis is wrapped in a heavy plastic bag and sandwiched between two Styrofoam blocks, and the shiny accents on the front door have extra plastic film covering them for added protection.
A relatively complete manual and an accessory box are the only extras inside the case. With the side panel off, you can see that there are placements for four 120mm fans in the side panel. These fans were included on the original Zero, as was the top 80mm exhaust fan that is omitted here.
