CONCLUSIONS AND AFTERTHOUGHTS

After going over the features and specifications of the Tempest Evo chassis prior to the review, I had high hopes for the case. I wasn't disappointed. NZXT has taken the Tempest design to the next level in virtually all the important areas, and it is a worthy successor to the original design. With top-of-the-line cooling performance, a rich and innovative feature set, great looks and a roomy and convenient interior, this is one of the best mid-tower chassis I've seen in a long time, given its reasonable pricepoint. Widely available and priced at around $90 US, the Tempest Evo is a very good deal, considering the feature set, six included fans, cooling performance and overall quality.

While adding or swapping hard drives after the initial build may be a bit troublesome, I liked the fact that the cages will hold up to eight hardies and can be removed from the front of the case if necessary. Cable clutter was easily avoided thanks to the management features NZXT has incorporated into the Tempest Evo, and the overall quality of the chassis is higher than what you would expect in a case in this price range.

In the final analysis, NZXT has improved on the already capable Tempest in both functionality and visual style. The Evo is a very capable chassis with plenty of room for hard drives and modern graphics cards. The updated look is very appealing and the cooling performance is top-notch. The Evo deserves a spot on your short list of mid-tower cases for your next build or upgrade. Don't overlook it.

- Roomy, convenient interior
- Six included fans
- Great look
- Numerous configuration options
- Watercooling-friendly features
