PRODUCT COMPOSITION
The carton is heavy corrugated cardboard and seems to have kept its shape despite some obviously rough handling during shipping. Despite the scuffs and scrapes, the graphics and spec list gives the user a very good idea of what to expect from the contents.
NZXT doesn't scrimp on the packing, either. With the Phantom protected by a heavy plastic bag and sandwiched between two soft, form fitting foam blocks, it arrived here at the lab in pristine condition. But it doesn't stop there. The shiny plastic bits get some added protection in the form of some additional plastic sheeting.
NZXT has done a nice job with the accessories as well. They are all segregated in separate zip-bags according to usage, and include a pair of radiator mounts and a speaker and zip-ties. The fold out manual is somewhat plain for such an elegant case, and the monochrome graphics and rather brief verbiage leaves something to be desired. While adequate for an experienced user, the novice may be at a bit of a disadvantage.
