Moving to the rear, the Guardian 921 has a conventional layout with the PSU at the top, the mobo I/O shield flanking a 120mm exhaust fan on the left and the seven expansion bys below. …the side panel comes off to reveal the interior. Sadly, the black finish doesn't extend into the interior of the case, but there are a few interesting features in here. As I mentioned above, the clear, blue LED intake fan on the side panel, as well as the other fans, can use either a 4-pin Molex connector or a 3-pin fanheader for monitoring/controlling speed. The motherboard tray isn't removable, but there are some tool-free features that we'll go over in more detail shortly.

The inside of the 921 is rather Spartan and conventional. Lacking any cutouts around the motherboard area or egress to the backside of the chassis, cable management will be a chore. At the top front of the 921, the wires for the front display exit a plastic panel and consist of…
