PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS AND FEATURES

The specifications are self explanatory, with the exception of U.L.N.A. This is the Ultra Low Noise Adapter and we'll get a look at it later, but it's little device that allows the user to choose the fan speed/cooling level to suit a particular application.

Noctua has also gone the extra mile to provide their potential customers with measurements to assist them in determining any fitment issues they may encounter. Noctua's website even includes an extensive motherboard compatibility list by manufacturer. (See it HERE .) Nice job, Noctua! I wish more companies would do this.
PRODUCT COMPOSITION

For around 60-70 bucks, you get this nice box containing a couple of pounds of Austrian cooling goodness.

After getting the box opened and the packaging sorted out, we can see that Noctua doesn't scrimp on the accessories! And, they eliminate some of the guesswork and sorting chores by packaging the Intel and AMD mounting hardware in separate, clearly labeled bags. Another bag holds the common parts. You even get separate instruction sheets for the two platforms in the manual folder. Very nice! Oh, yeah…you also get the cooler and fan. We'll go over all this stuff in more detail in the next section, but I'm already very impressed by the attention to detail and general user-friendliness I'm seeing here.
