Quiet cooling is the Holy Grail that many PC enthusiasts seek. There are plenty of solutions to keep your individual components running cool and quiet, which often leave the case fans being the worst noise offenders. We all know that you really need good airflow in the case, even with the more exotic component cooling solutions on the market today. You can always take the bargain 4- or 5-buck fans and use a fan controller to keep the noise down, but airflow may be unacceptable at these speeds. Austria 's Noctua company has recently released some fans that they claim will address these cooling issues and they've sent us some samples for evaluation. We'll be looking at three examples in this review, an 80mm and two 120mm fans. With some innovative features and nifty accessories, these fans show some definite promise. Let's take a closer look.
