The technology driven world we live in today has its pros and cons. On one hand, consumers have many options for playing digital media – all sorts of portable music players, cell phones, and computer operating systems have media capabilities built right in. On the other hand however, owning several devices that perform the same function can get confusing and just isn't practical. So what is the answer? Well, for the home market, it's a HTPC. A HTPC brings all the photos, videos, and music together in one place. The good thing about building a HTPC is that it need not have cutting edge hardware since the majority of tasks will not require it. The case that hardware goes into, however, is very important. Since most HTPC's are kept in a living room with other home theater equipment, it ideally should have a similar look and most of all operate quietly.
