PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS AND FEATURES

The 932 enclosure from Moneual Lab's MonCaso series comes in your choice of two finishes, the 932P in silver and the 932B in black. We have the black version for evaluation, but either one will look great amongst the other components of your entertainment center.

Owing to its aluminum construction and full-size component support, the MonCaso is a bit large, but relatively light. While the specifications list an RF keyboard as included, our example didn't include one and a Moneual representative intimated that the keyboard is no longer shipping with the MonCaso series. A shame, really, but a remote control is included. A single ODD bay and room for four HDDs will keep the vast majority of HTPC users very happy, and six available expansion slots should do the same, depending on your motherboard layout. OS support goes way back to Windows 98 and the MonCaso even includes batteries and a screwdriver.

PRODUCT COMPOSITION

A black box with minimal graphics houses the 932B during shipping. A plastic bag sandwiched between dense foam blocks protects the chassis, while another black box holds…

…all the accessories. The aforementioned long-reach screwdriver will make things easier during installation, and Moneual has also included a stylus, presumably for use with the touch screen. Screws and batteries, along with a stealth door cover for the ODD and a PSU adapter cable round out the included accessories. The software disk and multi-language manual will aid the user in gutting full functionality from the MonCaso 932B. Oh, and let's not forget…

…the remote. This appears to be a rebadged SoundGraph unit, and the “MonCaso” sticker (yes, it's just a sticker) isn't even centered in the silver panel. Granted, this is a small thing, but on a high-end, and high-priced chassis like this, one would expect to see more attention to detail. Oh, well. We'll explore the remote control's features a bit later.
