The multi-colored LED contains a red, green, and blue light. It is very bright and it lights up the inside of the case fairly well when in a completely dark room. If you really wanted to show off your computer's internal components, a cold cathode lamp would be a great addition.
The second included and pre-installed fan is the rear black silent fan. This fan is mounted to push air out of the case from the back. Although some people might be disappointed that it is not an LED fan, I was impressed because silent fans are more practical and there is no real need for the back of the case to be light up; the fan on the window gives more than enough light.
Here you see the case as I received it: completely empty besides the power cables from the LCD temperature display, the cables for the front mounted USB and audio, and the single silent black fan. The inside of the case is mostly metal for support and rigidity.
The front rack is bolted in place much like a server harddrive enclosure and allows for the installation of four 5 ¼" optical and/or seven 3.5" drives. Space for harddrive installation should not be an issue. Also note that there is a place to install a front 80mm intake if you need some fresh air to cool your harddrives or just for improved case airflow.
The faceplate (for lack of a better word) on the front dislodges and slides upwards and back onto the top of the computer to reveal the four 5 1/4 inch bays underneath as well as the single front accessible 3 ½ inch floppy bay. The cover is made entirely of plastic and has a cool spiral pattern on the orange centerpiece. I have applied five to ten pounds of pressure to the cover and it has yet to snap or come off so it can be assumed that it is fairly robust and well built. I mainly only close it to impress friends, and impress it does!
