Inside, a thermal pad helps to keep the controller cool (not that it gets very hot, but it does generate a bit of heat with some use). The controller sports the Toshiba name but it's actually a re-branded JMicron JMF618. If you look closely, you can you see “618” in the model number.

Sixteen of these Toshiba 8GB chips make up the drive's 128GB storage capacity.

The 2.5” enclosure is made of sturdy plastic and serves its purpose well. Here we can see the standard fare power/activity indicator and the USB port.
