Sometimes, quality and good looks don’t come hand in hand. However, after spending some time with the iPopperz earbuds I can say that’s not the case. They are a nice upgrade from the set that comes bundled with iPods and other media players. You have your choice of several different colorful designs and don’t have to give up good sound quality in order to add some style to your digital life. For a $20 headset, I was left impressed with sound quality at all volume levels as well as the inclusion of different size end caps for a comfortable fit.
There are a couple things I believe would make these earbuds even more appealing. First would be the “Y” section of the cord. It is not adjustable and I prefer headsets that do allow the length of this area to be adjusted. The second thing I would like to see would be a carrying pouch for the earbuds, whether it’s an included accessory or a separate purchase. It would help protect the product from damage and add even more style points to the iPopperz lineup.
Don’t expect the best sounding earbuds ever when you go to purchase these, but what you can expect to get is a very affordable, stylish headset that produces clear, well balanced sound. An excellent bang for the buck, and will appeal mostly to teens and young adults. Audiophiles will want to look elsewhere.
