Depressing the latch at the top-center of the rear releases the cover for access to the rectangular black button, which in turn must be depressed to release the side panel. The rear of the case is has a plastic cover that must be removed to install the PSU. A 92mm exhaust fan, four expansion slots, an I/O shield and PSU opening are the other features of the rear facade.
With the side panel removed, the special right angle PSU cord, mounting hardware and air duct can be seen. We'll go over these items a bit later.
The upper drive cages have tool free installation features for two ODD devices and one 3.5” device.
Lifting the gray latch (indicated by the arrow,) lets the 3.5” HDD bay swing out for drive installation. The yellow plastic device at the bottom releases the front bezel. Nice features for a case with limited space.
The inside rear of the Alpha features a PSU cutout, 92mm exhaust fan bracketed by the duct mounts and a yellow plastic, tool free expansion card clip. Stamped motherboard standoffs eliminate the need for the more common brass standoffs. All edges are rounded to keep from abrading cables or cutting fingers.
