This product is versatile in that it will accept both 3.5” and 2.5” SATA drives. The smaller 2.5” drives are most commonly found in laptops right now, but they should slowly begin to work their way into the desktop market with the rising popularity of solid state drives.
PRODUCT COMPOSITION
The docking station arrived in a simple blister package with two items inside – the docking station itself, and a box filled with accessories. Current pricing from online retailers is around $50 US.
With everything unboxed we have the docking station, instruction manual, eSATA cable, eSATA PCI bracket, USB cable, power adapter, and carrying pouch. If you will be docking a 2.5” drive using the USB cable, no power adapter is needed as it can draw power right from the USB port.
