CONCLUSIONS AND AFTERTHOUGHTS

With so many gadgets using USB these days, just about everyone can benefit from a product like this. It's an inexpensive, practical, and stylish way to add an extra four USB ports to any system. The top loading port is useful for quickly attaching a flash drive or mp3 player, and the remaining three ports are spaced far enough apart that plugging in devices next to each other shouldn't result in a tight squeeze. I-Rocks was also gracious enough to include an AC adapter that can be used to provide juice to more power-hungry devices such as printers or battery chargers. At nearly three feet long, the included uplink cable is a sufficient length too.
This little hub will be going with me whenever I travel with my laptop because it never fails - I always seem to have a need for just one or two more USB ports. For those who like their peripherals to match their system, several color choices are available as well.
As I said before, the hub is very lightweight and it slid all over my desk while testing it out. This is really the only con I have, and it's a very minor one at that. I can still highly recommend this product to anyone in the market for a simple USB hub.
Pros:
- Compact and practical design
- Performs as advertised
- Four ports, one of which is top-loading
- Several color choices available
- AC adapter included
Cons:
- Lightweight and slides around easily
