PRODUCT COMPOSITION

So what do you exactly get for US$235 when you purchase this higher end videocard. Seeing this is Hightech's premium HD4850, hopefully no corners will be cut when it comes to the hardware and software package.

First out of the box, HIS supplied the basics and not much more with a basic setup guide, a driver CD and a case sticker. For software package, they definitely didn't splurge on anything extra. Not even a DVD software package was included.
The hardware kit is well equipped and includes an component HD dongle, an HDMI converter adapter, an S-video adapter, a digital to analog monitor adapter, a power cable and a cross-fire bridge. As I said, it is complete, but videocard manufacturers need to throw in TWO digital to analog adapters instead of one seeing a lot of enthusiasts might be using two analog monitor for a dual display setup.

One of the interesting parts of the hardware kit is this multifunction tool that comes complete with a standard and philips screwdriver, a level and a small LED flashlight for rooting around your computer. Should come in handy and I have used it already for doing some small computer repairs. It does come in handy.

And last out of the box is the videocard itself. As always, with HIS's cooler dominating the videocard, anyone that appreciates hardware will have no problem inserting this rather handsome videocard into their windowed case. HIS makes one of, or maybe even THE best looking videocard on the market. But in addition to the aesthetics, this is a solid and VERY well built card with no flaws in construction noted or found.
