PRODUCT COMPOSITION

For a respectable price of around US$150-$200, you will receive the following.

You will receive a user's guide along with a driver and additional software CD. The software CD is packed with full version video editing programs from Cyberlink along with several game demos. In the top right you will see the included FLAT OUT full version game which is a driving game and not a bad one at that. Some included games are dollar bin garbage whereas this one is actually is quite playable. Finishing off we have a full version of Cyberlink Power DVD v7 and a case badge. As you can see, this is quite an extensive and feature packed software bundle for a sub-$200 videocard.

As extensive as the software kit is, the hardware package isn't bad as well. As seen above you get a rear IO vent plate for the card's cooler exhaust along with a crossfire bridge in case you will be using this with another sample of this card for a Crossfire setup. Seeing this card is Dual-DVI, you also get two DVI to Analog VGA converters. Moving down you will receive two dongles. One is for the VIVO capabilities and the second is for a HD component video out connection. And bringing up the rear you have a single six foot long S-video cable.

The HIS IceQ3 X1950pro is a very large videocard. Seeing the stock standard X1950pro videocard itself is rather large, you have to keep in mind that this card has a ridiculously huge copper based VPU/Memory heatpipe cooler strapped on for good measure. As you will see in the following section, this is one of the most complete videocard coolers I have yet to review and should keep this card cool even during the hottest gaming binges. But more on that in the next section.
