PRODUCT PICTORIAL & WALKTHROUGH
Let's take a virtual walk around HIS's IceQ X HD 6850 Turbo version of AMD's HD 6850.
First off we start at this videocard's VPU. XFX's use of the 40nm manufactured Barts core is clocked at 820Mhz core, 1100Mhz 256bit DDR5 memory which is bandwidth capable of 140.8 Gb/sec memory transfer which is 12.8 Gb/sec higher than your vanilla reference HD 6850. This coupled with the VPU's 960 unified shaders is capable of 26.2 GPixels/sec and 39.4 GTexels/s while drawing 135 watts during maximum load and 20 watts at idle.
As you already know, HIS's IceQ X HD 6850 Turbo version comes complete with a 85mm actively cooled quad 8mm heatpipe heatsink which not only cools the GPU, but also provides excellent airflow to the GDDR5 memory modules underneath regardless if they have and heatsinks attached. This should help in the overclocking department and under stock conditions, idle temperatures were measured at only 33c and under full Furmark load, reached only 62c. Fan noise was noted as being silent even under full load condition and when installed in a case would be completely undetectable.
The back of the card is completely void of any obstruction to interfere with any sort of upper motherboard components and facilitated an easy install. Also note in the top right hand corner you have your crossfire bridge connections for use on an AMD multi-videocard setup.
