HIS HD 6850 ICEQ X TURBO INTRODUCTION
HIS (Hightech) now is an established brand in the hardware industry and still pushes the envelop in terms of affordable products which are usually topped with an industry leading type of upgraded cooler if you are not settling for a reference based card. HIS's IceQ cooler in my opinion has always been one of, if not THE best upgraded cooler offered by any manufacturer on the market. The new upgraded IceQ X has no less than four 8mm copper heatpipes cooling a massive heatsink which covers over 80% of the videocard and should prove to be an effective cooler.
The HIS HD 6850 IceQ X being reviewed today is a factory overclocked HD 6850 with the core clock rate pushed up from 775Mhz to 820 Mhz and the memory pushed up from 1000Mhz to 1100Mhz. This is a pretty decent overclock right out of the box, but I have a sneaky suspicion that that cooler will able to handle it easily and keep temperatures under control with minimal effort. In fact, I bet there is a bit more overclocking performance to bad had and I aim to push this graphics card to its limits and see what this card is truly capable of.
