PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS AND FEATURES

With large, heavy copper coolers being all the rage these days, it's unusual to see one with an aluminum base. The GX700 sports an aluminum base, fins and a nickel-plated copper heatpipe. These materials allow the cooler to be very lightweight (less than four ounces), but don't inspire much confidence when it comes to performance. At a height of only 33mm (1.3 inches), the GX700 will be appealing to the SLI folks. If the rated noise level is accurate, this cooler will also appeal to the quiet computing crowd.

Fifty aluminum fins on relatively wide spacing should allow the unique blower fan to blow the heat away from the heatpipe while providing good circulation around the ramsinks.

Graphics card compatibility looks good, with most modern boards supported.
PRODUCT COMPOSITION

The plastic clamshell box holds very few components, a testament to the mounting system design.

Clockwise from the top are the cooler itself, a tube of thermal paste, two “hexa-screws” with knurled nuts, eight green ramsinks and the backbrace with its foam pad. A brief but adequate instruction sheet is also included. The installation guide can be downloaded from the ZEROtherm WEBSITE .
