PRODUCT PICTORIAL AND WALKTHROUGH (cont'd)

Evercool has chosen to go with the “direct touch” design scheme for the large 8mm heatpipes. The base is dead flat and the finish is perfectly adequate, while not being highly polished and shiny. The two included fans are PWM controlled and stylish, but lack any lighting or other bling, other than their chrome finish.

I'm a bit surprised by the lack of quality control as evidenced by the irregular spacing of the 51 aluminum fins. Fin spacing, however, should respond well to the PWM fans. We'll see a bit later.

Evercool touts their “Ever Lubricate bearing” fans as quiet with a long service life. At less than 17 dBA, Evercool must be rating these fans at their minimum speed of 800 RPM. To quote the packaging, “Free collocation makes much colder and quieter.” I have no idea what this means, but it sounds kind of impressive.
