<--SHOP FOR A EPOX EP-4PDA5+ i865PE SPRINGDALE
For the low price tag of US$110 and less, I wasn't expecting a whole
lot. As everyone that reads my reviews knows, I am a fan of extra toys
with my hardware purchase. And if I can get it for cheaper without sacrificing
quality or performance, I consider that a bonus.
The product packaging is simple, effective and protects
the contents well.
Once the box is opened you will open up a side compartment
that absolutely teeming with extra components for your new installation.
What is contains is:
- Two ATA-133 Rounded IDE cables
- One Floppy Drive Cable
- Two SATA Power Cables
- Two SATA Data Cables
- A Dual USB 2.0 Rear Bracket
- A Rear bracket containing the External Game and Serial Port
- Rear I/O Shield Plate
Overall, the acessory bundle is put togther very well
and all bases have been covered. Just to let you know, you don't have
to install the rear game, serial and USB ports if you don't want to.
The extra USB connectors will come in handy, but I think the days of
game and serial ports have died off about two years ago since USB became
the mainstream standard with external peripherals.
Also included is this plastic pouch containing the usual
manuals and quick startup guides along with a driver/bundle CD and a
Also included is a handy multipurpose screwdriver to use
when putting your computer together. My sample did not contain this
but it is a mandatory extra.
The driver/bundle CD contains:
- Drivers / Software for the Mainboard components
- Windows Bios Flashing Software
- Trend Micro PC-Cillin 2004
- Norton Personal Firewall 2003
- Epox Temperature/Voltage/Fan Monitoring Software (Very Handy and Accurate)
