MEDIA VIEWING
I decided to add this section to show you what you could expect while
viewing movies. All tests were conducted on a Panasonic 27 inch TV. I
know I can't perfectly photograph what I actually saw, but I gave it a
try anyway.
DVD
So, how does the DVD player perform?
Open the tray and pop in your favorite DVD movie. My favorite and only
DVD at the moment is the Lord of the Rings. I know, one DVD is pretty
sad, but I was one of the crowd with the VHS collection.
Once the tray is closed, this is the loading screen that will display.
To convey the clarity, I just had to fastforward to my favorite part
of the movie. Until I received the DVD as a Christmas present, I only
watched this movie on VHS, and nor will I ever watch it on tape again.
DVD is the way to go. Man, the sharpness and clarity is amazing. If anyone
tells you that there is no difference, they don't know what they are talking
about.
VHS
I know VHS is not really comparable to DVD, but you still can enjoy your
older movies.
Pop in your VHS tape and enjoy Samsung's Four-Head clarity. I personally
used Star Wars: Return of the Jedi for the test. Ya just can't get enough
of da wookie. OOps, wrong movie =p.
As you can see, it's not as good as the DVD playback, but, it's as good
as you can possibly get from a tape.
