For the rather brisk price of US$129.95, what can the consumer expect from this keyboard purchase?
Once opened, you will be able to remove a small lint cloth for keeping the glossy finish of this keyboard finger-print free. Other than that, you have a small pamphlet stating the simple plug and play installation and the fact that all the warranty information along with user's manual and technical data are available online at their website. If you have no internet connection, you won't have any paperwork to point to where you should call in case of a problem. Although the cloth is a nice touch and is appreciated, paying US$129 bucks and not even getting the usual paperwork is a little irritating. I can see if the keyboard was a $5 budget board from the bargain bin at Bestbuy, but for $129 it isn't included?
And at last, you have the Das Keyboard which is german for "The Keyboard". Other than the long 6.6ft USB cable, the keyboard is very simple with only your standard keys, number pad and nothing more. Initial thoughts are positive with excellent stiff build quality and a nice black glossy finish.
