BENCHMARKING
SISOFT SANDRA XII LITE MEMORY BANDWIDTH BENCHMARK
Sisoft has a proven and reliable test that has been used in the review industry for well over five years with results you can depend on. although this memory benchmark only tests how fast the memory can be read, it is a good basic benchmark for comparative purposes.
Results has a direct relationship with the established overclock and also illustrated how potent of a overclocking combo you have when you overclock the processor front side bus along with the memory.
AIDA32 MEMORY READ/WRITE BANDWIDTH BENCHMARKING
AIDA32 is a very basic system utility much like Sisoft Sandra. The one characteristic that sets itself apart from Sandra is the ability to run memory write and read benchmarks.
Again, results were very predictable, the more you pushed this memory, the more it gave back. Although write times were not affected as much as the read times, the increase of almost 1.5Gb/s read bandwidth does impact system performance.
PCMARK 2005 MEMORY BENCHMARKING
PCMark2005 is a good basic benchmarking program that output simple and easily understandable numbers to compare while tweaking or overclocking your system.
Again, the relationship was very direct until you got the processor involved which had performance number increasing at an exponential rate.
