PRODUCT COMPOSITION & SETUP

The ICY dock comes with few other objects aside from itself. One of the few other objects is a one page manual, which gives an "Installation for Dummies" type description of how everything works, how to install the hard-drive and how to set the Master and Slave settings. Also included are screws for the 5.25" bay in your PC and a key, to lock the bay in place so that it can't be removed while running.

As you can see the front of the ICY Dock features an LCD display (on the left) and 3 blue buttons (below screen) to scroll through the menus on the screen. On the right is the locking mechanism which allows you to slide the dock out of its tray. Directly behind this locking mechanism is the ball bearing fan which provides ample airflow through the dock keeping it "ICY" cool.

Inside the tray itself, you can see the fan, the circuit board that controls the LCD display and the cables for connecting the hard-drive. On either side of this tray are mount plates for the hard-drive to keep it from vibrating when in use.
