Right at first glance it's obvious this is not an ordinary headset. I was worried it might have a cheesy look to it, but the styling is actually quite appealing. The ear cups are large and the head band is thick, but Creative managed to keep weight to a minimum.
The ear cups have soft, thick leatherette padding for comfort, and that's good because any headset designed for WoW should be easy to wear during marathon gaming sessions. The cups swivel 90 degrees outward for added comfort as well as making them easy to store.
On the outside of each ear cup is an interchangeable lens with glyphs decorating the outer edges. A pair of Horde lenses and a pair of Alliance lenses are included, and these lenses glow in the color of your choice when the headset is powered on.
Volume is adjustable on the left ear cup. While this will come in handy, I wish there was a raised notch or something that would help the user easily find the buttons by touch. The on/off button is located below these volume controls.
There are more buttons on the underside of the left ear cup. The microphone mute/connect button, microphone socket, and mini-USB port for charging the headset round out this area.
