PRODUCT COMPOSITION

The retail box is pure Corsair. Simple, effective and informative. Inside…

…the A70 has to be one of the best packaged coolers I've had in the lab. The cooler is completely encased in dense foam with the fans and mounting solutions in separate cardboard boxes. The quick start guide is actually quite thorough and should be more than sufficient to get the cooler installed.
PRODUCT PICTORIAL AND WALKTHROUGH

Mr. Bones really likes the design of the A70. The tight-radius bends on the ‘pipes and the relatively large open area below the first fin leaves plenty of room for motherboard components surrounding the socket. The A70 has a wider cross-section than the A50, but it should still fit in most any case that will accept its 6.25-inch height.

All the fins have the Corsair logo stamped into them, but the top one features a black finish that sets off the copper heatpipes to good effect. Numerous dimples are also stamped into the fins, presumably to increase surface area and create turbulence within the fin array, increasing cooling performance. The small notches in the sides of the fin array interface with the fan mounting tabs that we'll examine a bit later.
