PRODUCT PICTORIAL AND WALKTHROUGH
When compared to any other standard Corsair memory, there
isn't really any difference to the naked eye. Both sticks of ram are
cooled via heatspreaders and for once I can say that they actually serve
a purpose.
THESE STICKS RUN HOT!
The standard Corsair Low-Latency memory even under a good
overclock will run slight warm while being stress tested but one touch
of the heatspreaders on the DDR550 will have you rather unnerved. While
grasping the memory lightly during benchmarking, the heatspreader temperature
was just low enough for me to hold on for a minute or so but one or
two degrees more and I wouldn't have been able to handle the pain. It
is imperative that you have good case ventilation while using this memory.
Without it I will guarantee system instability and possible failure.
But anyone in need a memory of this caliber would probably have an amazing
computer case with lots of airflow and case fans..............I hope.

All Corsair memory comes with a holographic sticker stating
the memory type, speed and timings. Always make sure that your Corsair
Memory has these stickers to avoid the distribution of counterfeit units
that as of now have not been happening to Corsair, but has happened
to other memory manufacturers.

With the memory safely inserted in dual channel configuration,
the benchmarking barrage was commenced.
