PRODUCT INSTALLATION AND TESTING

The test bed consisted of the following hardware used to test the Coolink Corator DS

  • AMD Phenom II X4 965 (stock and 3.6GHz @ 1.4V)

  • MSI 785GM-E65

  • 2X1Gb DDR3 1333MHz 1.5V Corsair XMS3

  • On-board Graphics (IGP HD4200)

  • Seagate 7200.10 250Gb

  • Hitachi P7K500 500Gb

  • Corsair VX550w

  • Antec 300

All coolers were tested in the Antec 300 pictured above. Keep in mind that temperatures inside your case will be different, depending on the chassis, cable management, fan arrangement, and airflow.

After applying some of the TIM that was included in package to the processor IHS, we can proceed with the installation.

Installing the cooler was a simple procedure albeit it did require some extra time for uninstalling the motherboard. The first part of the procedure was to remove the motherboard's retention bracket and placing a set of spacers where the screws would originally go from the bracket.
